I have been learning Yoga from Nayanaji for over a decade now (almost 12 years) being one of her first students, after she started teaching yoga. I was lucky to having found her and so conveniently close by to my home, very economical, & willing to teach beginners as well as folks who have been doing yoga for a long time, and it has motivated me doing yoga to this day. I continue to be a long standing member of the Saturday morning class (starting with a group of men, with family members slowly joining along with kids, and now more recently I being one of the very few men, with more ladies in the group), where she has been teaching us different flavors of yoga and always explaining what she teaches. We have a similar routine of warming up, stretching for all parts of the body, and always we finish with meditation. Nayanaji has helped me quite a bit with my running injuries too often suggesting what to do to alleviate my niggles & has helped reduce my running injuries a lot. It has been a challenging year for me as a runner due to a meniscus tear, but she has always helped me in modifying the yoga stretched keeping my injury in mind. Saturday morning yoga has become a consistent routine for my wife & I, and I don't think this routine will change for us going forward. I think my yoga poses & form has been consistently improving thanks to all the practical tips and adjustments she would recommend during the sessions, and also has helped me knowing my body better. Her constant advise has been to do yoga & meditation more regularly than just once a week in the class and I have seen this advise helping me quite a bit especially in the last year. Working with Nayanaji all these years & into future, I strongly recommend Nayanaji as a yoga teacher & more importantly a very good friend and well wisher. Wishing her and her yoga school the very best and hope she continues this journey for years to come.
